Prediction methodology
From verified facts to an assessment
Editors review verified match details, available team form, head-to-head context, pitch information and other relevant evidence. They write the prediction reasoning themselves and explain limitations. Unsupported inputs are left out. There is no automatic live cricket feed or independent AI prediction model.
The original record
The first published prediction linked to a match is captured before its scheduled start. The capture includes the selected team, reasoning, publication time and article revision. Changing later commentary does not change this original record.
How accuracy is calculated
Accuracy equals correct decisive predictions divided by all resolved decisive predictions, multiplied by 100. A prediction is correct when the original selected team matches the verified winning team. It is incorrect when the other team wins. Cancelled, abandoned and non-decisive outcomes are inconclusive and excluded from that denominator. Pending results are also excluded.
Read the sample size
Percentages appear only when there is at least one decisive verified result. The archive shows the sample size and individual records. This historical measure is not a forecast of future performance and does not establish a calibrated probability.
